Ross Wilson is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Internal Auditor currently employed as a Director of Risk Services with PwC Canada. Ross leads Internal Audit and other consulting services for clients in the public sector, energy sector and financial services sector. His work experience spans corporate governance, not-for-profit organizations, internal auditing, strategy, team management, risk management, financial reporting and financial accounting.
Born with Charcot‐Marie‐Tooth Syndrom, Ross is a retired paracyclist, having represented Canada in the Men’s C1 division. In 2019 he set a new world record in the individual pursuit event at the integrated Tissot UCI World Cup in Glasgow, Scotland. At the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games he won two silver medals for Team Canada. He also competed at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Ross is a former audit committee member of the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Paralympic Foundation of Canada. He served terms as Vice-Chair of the Athlete’s Council of the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Athlete’s Council of Cycling Canada. Since retiring Ross has been active in his local community and serves as the audit chair on a number of not-for-profit organizations. His volunteer work focuses on strengthening stakeholder consultation, inclusion and advocacy on behalf of individuals with a disability.
