Jason is Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income at iA Global Asset Management, helping oversee the company’s $125+ billion in assets under management. He also sits on the Approval Committee for iA GAM’s alternative investments including private equity, real estate and infrastructure. Jason publishes a weekly market commentary on LinkedIn entitled The Parker Perspective and writes the fixed income section of iA GAM’s weekly Keys to the Market report, contributing to his roughly 20,000+ post impressions generated per month.
Jason boasts nearly 30 years work experience in the capital markets, most of it spent in sell side fixed income research, where he led his team to a #1 rank for 13 consecutive years. In his role as Managing Director for FICC at BMO Capital Markets, Jason was also Co-Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Council and executive sponsor for BMOCM Women. He also created and co-chaired the AdvanceAbility Mentorship Program at WCM and is on CFA Society Toronto’s Professional Development Steering Committee, in addition to being a Co-Founder and Executive Sponsor of Leader Circle, a not-for-profit helping women, visible minorities and recent immigrants develop careers in finance.
Jason is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and a CFA charter holder. He is finishing his Doctor of Business Administration at University of Calgary and holds an HBA from Wilfrid Laurier University in Geography and Political Science, an MA from University of Toronto in Geography, an MA in International Affairs from Carleton University and an MEd in Development Psychology and Education from University of Toronto.
Jason has a nonverbal learning disability, along with OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Tourette’s Syndrome.
